- Assistant/Associate Professor Periodontics
Description
The Division of Periodontics at the University of Oklahoma College of Dentistry seeks qualified applicants for a full-time Assistant/Associate Professor position. The Assistant/Associate Professor will be responsible for didactic and clinical teaching for pre-doctoral and post-doctoral students. Under the supervision of the Division Head of Periodontics and working directly with Periodontics clinic coordinators, the Assistant/Associate Professor will be responsible for the
periodontal instruction in the periodontal process of care, including clinical skills and evaluation of clinical procedures.
The successful candidate will join an energetic periodontic division committed to excellence in teaching didactic and clinical courses in the pre-doctoral and post-doctoral periodontics programs.
Requirements
Qualified candidates must possess:
- A dental degree (DDS, DMD, or equivalent) and a certificate of advanced training in Periodontics at an ADA Accredited institution.
- Educational qualifications in Periodontics by CODA - US Periodontal program and eligible to take the American Board of Periodontology examination.
- A license to practice Periodontics in the State of Oklahoma or be eligible for licensure.
- Licensing (or the ability to become licensed) for IV Sedation in the State of Oklahoma.
- Knowledge of current technologies in clinic as appropriate to the area of instruction.
- Knowledge of, and demonstration of proficiency in, current concepts in periodontics, periodontic education, clinical instruction, general dentistry, and clinical practice.
